Macintosh klientdrift / Macintosh client management
IT-avdelingens utvikling av et klientdriftsopplegg for Mac var i januar i år kommet så langt at vi var klar for en utvidet testfase. Alle Mac-maskiner som har blitt installert siden januar har fått det nye klientoppsettet. Vi anser nå testfasen som avsluttet. Alle maskiner som har vært installert i testfasen regnes nå som administrerte klienter.
The development of the IT Department's Mac client management entered an extended test phase from January. All Mac computers installed by the IT Department after January, have had the new client management regime. We now regard the test phase as complete. All Macs installed during the test phase are now counted as managed clients.
The IT Department will from August 15 offer client management for all Macs - not only new ones.
We ask for Mac laptops to be handed in to BRITA for initial installation. Desktops will be installed on site. In both cases, please register an issue through Issue-tracker.
The Mac OSX licenses acquired by the IT Department, are for use with managed clients. If you wish to have your Mac upgraded to the latest version, it will enter into the client management regime. Any users who do not want to have their Mac managed, will have to acquire their own upgrade licenses.
